Cooking Class: All About Sourdough Starter

Dive into the sourdough process and leave with your very own jar of starter. Cynthia Lair, author of Sourdough on the Rise, guides you through how to take care of your new starter, how to prime it for baking, and how to troubleshoot problems. Bonus! Learn what makes starters sour and why sourdough breads are more nutritious and digestible. After students get their starters going, they will sit down to Cynthia's french onion soup with sourdough boule and an arugula salad with parmesan, walnuts, and apple cider vinaigrette.
Class is limited to 11 people and will be a mix of demo and hands-on. Includes dinner. Each student will leave class with their own jar of sourdough starter.
