Cheese Pairing Class: Cheeses of Spain

Take your taste buds on a journey across the ocean to Spain!

You will explore five different Spanish cheeses paired with three different accompaniments and two wines. During the session, you’ll discover how to taste cheeses like a pro, understand basic cheese-pairing principles, and learn about each cheese and the Spanish region that gives it its special flavor.

The course will be led by Dr. Courtney Johnson, one half of the professional cheesemonger duo behind Burien-based mobile cheese shop, Street Cheese. Courtney is an American Cheese Society Certified Cheese Professional and Certified Cheese Sensory Evaluator. She is also the Executive Director of the Washington State Cheesemakers Association and a Chef Instructor at Seattle Central College’s Seattle Culinary Academy.

Class is limited to 11 people. Includes generous samples of each cheese, accompaniments, and wine.
