Cooking Class: A Night in Normandy Inspired by "Getaway"
Instructor: Polina Chesnakova
Students are required to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination + valid ID at the start of class (please plan to arrive early accordingly). Failure to do so will result in a cancellation of ticket, and a refund or store credit will not be issued. Examples of valid proof of COVID-19 vaccinations are: vaccination record card, digital or physical WA state certificate of vaccination from MyIRmobile.com, or a verified electronic medical record printout from a medical provider. For more examples, please reference this visual guide.
Students will also be required to wear masks during the non-eating portions of class.
Join our culinary director Polina Chesnakova for a night in Normandy inspired by chef and local restaurateur Renee Erickson's new book Getaway. Guests will try cider and calvados from the region, and eat their way through a menu that will transport them to one of the most delicious regions of France. Menu includes: Moroccan-spiced walnuts; choice of a Whale Wins old fashioned or calvados and tonic with lemon peel; shaved fennel, lemon, and crispy lardon salad; savory buckwheat flour crepes with shallots, apples, and camembert cheese; and mussels with vadouvan curry.
Hands on class. Includes dinner. Class is limited to 12 people. Please note that event registration is non-refundable.
