Cooking Class: Simple Chocolate Valentine Desserts

Pastry chef Laurie Pfalzer joins us to celebrate the third birthday of her book Simple Fruit! In this engaging and demo-style class, Laurie will demonstrate how the recipes in her book are easily interchangeable and adaptable for any season, and how to pair fruit with chocolate in pastry - just in time for Valentine's Day!

Laurie will guide you through making her signature and simple Dark Chocolate Cake with Sautéed Citrus; Bittersweet Chocolate Tart with Pear and Fig Compote, and White Chocolate Mousse with Rosemary Apples. Laurie will demonstrate classic pastry techniques, while discussing all things fruit and chocolate, creating playful inspirations for winter desserts.

Class is limited to 11 people and is demo-style. A light salad will be served, along with generous samples of each dessert.
