Cooking Class: Winter in Northern Italy
Instructor: Paola Albanesi
Students are required to present proof of COVID-19 vaccination + valid ID at the start of class (please plan to arrive early accordingly). Failure to do so will result in a cancellation of ticket, and a refund or store credit will not be issued. Examples of valid proof of COVID-19 vaccinations are: vaccination record card, digital or physical WA state certificate of vaccination from MyIRmobile.com, or a verified electronic medical record printout from a medical provider. For more examples, please reference this visual guide.
Students will also be required to wear masks during the non-eating portions of class.
Join Paola Albanesi, a long-time Seattle-based Italian instructor, for a soul-nourishing class that will transport you to northern Italy. You’ll learn how how to make rosette di peperoni arrosto (broiled red bell peppers) and pair it with the Piedmontese Nonna's umami bomb bagna cauda (warm garlic and anchovy dip); put together creamy polenta with funghi trifolati (sauteed mushrooms), Parmigiano, herbs, and butter; and finish the night with pere al vino rosso con fior di latte gelato (spiced red wine-poached pears served with fior di latte gelato).
Class is limited to 12 people and is hands-on. Includes dinner. Please note that event registration is non-refundable.
