In this feast of a book, Marseille native, journalist, and gourmand Vérane Frédiani captures a portrait of a city through its food and culinary figures. Translator Alexis, a former Seattleite who has lived in Marseille for 6 years, has translated this first cookbook in English about Marseille that truly embodies the city’s rich culinary diversity, singularity, and enticing mix of Mediterranean, Provençal, and multicultural influences such as Moroccan and Armenian. She will be in conversation with Molly Wizenberg, author and host of the podcast Spilled Milk.
Reservations are non-refundable and book-included tickets include a copy of the $30 book, plus applicable sales tax and .75c transaction fee. Can't attend but still want a signed book? Order here for shipping or in-store pickup.
