We're delighted to welcome Max Miller, creator and host of the beloved YouTube channel Tasting History, in celebration of his debut cookbook, Tasting History: Explore the Past through 4,000 Years of Recipes. Max thrills food enthusiasts and history buffs alike as he recreates dishes from the past, often using historical recipes from vintage texts, but updated for modern kitchens. From ancient Rome to Ming China to medieval Europe and beyond, Max collects the best-loved recipes from around the world and shares them with his fans. Now, with beautiful photographs portraying the dishes and historical artwork throughout, Tasting History compiles over sixty dishes in this riveting collection. Including the original recipe and Miller’s modern recreation, this cookbook is a must-have for any avid cook or history fan looking to experience delicious dishes from the past. Max will be in conversation with The Seattle Times food and drink writer Tan Vinh.
You'll have two options for joining us: Book Included, or Author Talk Only. Max will sign your books after the talk.
Because Book Larder is a small space and we keep the door closed during author talks, a well-fitted face mask is strongly encouraged to be worn by all event guests. Thank you!
Reservations are non-refundable, and can include a signed copy of the $30 book. Can't attend but still want a signed copy? Order here for shipping or in-store pickup.
