We are delighted to welcome Wine Enthusiast food editor Nils Bernstein in celebration of his new book The Joy of Oysters: A Complete Guide to Sourcing, Shucking, Grilling, Broiling, and Frying. Behold the oyster. Delicious, a little decadent, yet one of the healthiest things to eat, sustainable and readily available. The Joy of Oysters is a smorgasbord of information, recipes, tips, stories, history, and everything else the oyster lover and the oyster curious could want to know. Learn how to select the freshest, tastiest oysters; and how to store, clean, shuck, and serve. Nils will be in conversation with local chef and restaurateur Renee Erickson.
This event is in presented in partnership with Hama Hama Oyster Company, who will be providing freshly shucked oysters on the night from their 6th generation family-run farm in Lilliwaup, WA to every attendee!
You'll have two options for joining us: either a one-person tasting ticket, book included, or a two-person tasting ticket, with one book included per couple. Nils will sign books following the talk.
Because Book Larder is a small space and we keep the door closed during author talks, a well-fitted face mask is strongly encouraged to be worn by all event guests. Thank you!
