In Person Author Talk: Regula Ysewijn, Dark Rye and Honey Cake
Location:
Event Date:
May 20, 2023
Event Time:
10:00 am - 11:30 am
We're thrilled to welcome acclaimed food writer and historian Regula Ysewijn, in celebration of her latest cookbook, Dark Rye and Honey Cake : Festival Baking from Belgium, the Heart of the Low Countries. This beautiful book takes an intimate look at the culinary traditions and classic baked goods of Belgium—including classic Carnival and Renaissance treats, pastries, pies, biscuits, cakes, breads and, of course, waffles. Regula’s unique ability to capture the detail and beauty in her recipes and photos provides readers with a breathtaking engaging, and personal account of food culture in Belgium. Regula will be in conversation with Rachel Coyle, owner of local bakery Coyle's Bakeshop.
You'll have two options for joining us: Book Included, or Author Talk Only. Regula will sign your books after the talk.
Because Book Larder is a small space and we keep the door closed during author talks, a well-fitted face mask is strongly encouraged to be worn by all event guests. Thank you!
Reservations are non-refundable, and can include a signed copy of the $39.99 book. Can't attend but still want a signed copy? Order here for shipping or in-store pickup.
