Cooking Class: Sweet and Savory Galette

If you think pies are too fussy, galettes are just as impressive—and much easier. Join our culinary director Polina Chesnakova as she walks you through the process of making sweet and savory galettes, using a variety of flours, all from scratch. We will practice making an all butter pie crust, and then fill it with seasonal delicacies, which we will then devour! The class will incorporate lots of hands-on work so please bring an apron and rolling pin, if you have one at home. Students will leave with their very own disk of flaky dough, created in class, along with recipes and plenty of know-how and inspiration to bake the rustic tart all year long. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the class.
Menu includes: Roasted broccoli, red onion, and double cheddar galette; arugula and fennel salad with walnuts, feta, and pomegranate-mustard vinaigrette; and apple and almond frangipane crostata.
Class is limited to 11 students and is hands-on. Includes generous portions of galettes and salad.
Students will be required to wear masks during the non-eating portions of class. Please note that event registration is non-refundable.
