It's almost time for Seattle Independent Bookstore Day 2025, and the Passport Challenge is back! Once again, local book (and bookstore) lovers will be challenged to visit all participating Seattle-area independent bookstores, and this year they will have ten days to complete the challenge, starting on Saturday, April 26th and running through Monday, May 5th.
Here's how it works:
- Pick up a passport at any of the participating shops, including Book Larder
- Visit every shop on the list between April 26th and May 5th to get a passport stamp from each shop
- Turn in your completed passport at the last shop you visit by May 5th to receive a Bookstore Day Champion Stamp Card, good for a one-time 25% discount at each participating store and valid for one year.
- Those who don’t complete the full challenge but get their passport stamped at at least five participating stores during the ten-day period will receive a single 25%-off coupon, good at any one of the participating stores.
- When you turn in your passport, you will choose your “home” store, where your Champion Discount Card will be held for you to pick up at a later date TBD.
And we'd love to see you whether you're participating in the challenge or not! We'll have our friends from Seattle's Kuma Coffee popping up between 11am-2pm with their delicious locally roasted coffee, and we'll have exclusive deals, treats, and giveaways, including the ever-popular free MYSTERY BOOK with every purchase of $50+, while stocks last! Plus, join us for more fun the following weekend, when we'll have local author and cooking instructor Omid Roustaei doing a recipe demo from his book, Bitter and Sweet: Global Flavors from an Iranian-American Kitchen!
