"The banh mi is a beautiful vietnamese sandwich that shows the complex history of Vietnam by using a french baguette as the bread, providing a reminder of France’s occupation of and influence upon the asian country. Traditionally combining pork with fresh vegetables, and some jalapeños for spice, the baguette base provides a medley of textures to create a unique sandwich enjoyed globally. Inspired by our many visits to our favorite banh mi spot in West Philadelphia, this delicious tea towel celebrates the existence of this sandwich.
